Our School

Welcome to Scoil Mhuire. We are a catholic school located in the village of Allenwood and we currently have 268 students in the school. We welcome girls and boys from the local catchment area of all faiths and nationalities. Our principal is Ciarán O'Toole and our Vice-Principal is Alison Bell. We have Eleven class teachers, three and a half Learning Support teachers. We have an A.S Unit, , we also have five Special Needs Assistants.

At Scoil Mhuire we offer many activities to our pupils, both curricular and extra curricular.

Funding:

“Our school received a grant in 2021 to implement initiatives aimed at addressing the digital divide and support our learners at risk of educational disadvantage as a consequence, as part of the Irish National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP) a project under the Recovery and Resilience Facility funded by the European Union through NextGenerationEU. 

The grant aimed to mitigate the impact of the digital divide on learners, particularly those facing educational disadvantage. 

In our School the funding was used to purchase ICT equipment, including computing devices, interactive whiteboards, and visualizers, to support teaching and learning, as well as to develop digital portfolios and communication platforms.
